Bloomsburg, PA — January 27, 2014 — For over a decade, Brentwood Industries' annual Supplier Award program has recognized suppliers who provide outstanding goods and service to their business. Ten companies out of 240 active suppliers were distinguished as strategic suppliers for 2013.
For over 40 years, Brentwood has been designing and manufacturing product solutions for highly diverse global industries including battery, building and construction, cooling tower systems, custom plastic forming, medical packaging, transportation, water, and wastewater. Brentwood's engineers work closely with their customers throughout the design, engineering, and manufacturing phases of each project to address the most complex challenges with the greatest amount of ease. The company dedicates the same rigor to its award program. On a quarterly basis, employees across the company, from procurement to manufacturing to administration, rate the quality of each supplier. They consider metrics such as on-time delivery, product quality and ease of manufacturing it, and environmental stewardship. But the voting process is most heavily weighted on the way suppliers conduct business, explains Carl Staples, Brentwood's General Manager,
"Success in our award program mirrors success in the marketplace.
A great product just isn't enough. Consistent, exceptional customer service and a cooperative, knowledgeable technical support staff are required. When we bring a project to one of our suppliers, we expect their people will be right there to help as a partner in serving our end customers. The program inspires continued performance improvement. And that benefits our customers."
